Crooked Mile Farm: Farmstead Cheesemaking Culture with Laini Fondilier

A dynamic half-day event of technical tasting, cheesemaking discussion, and farm tour hosted by Crooked Mile Farm, a family-run micro-dairy goat farm in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, in partnership with veteran cheesemaker and artisanal alchemist Laini Fondiller of Lazy Lady Farm.

Begin the morning with a visit to the Crooked Mile goat herd, where milk travels a mere fifty feet from udder to cheese vat and is collected, processed, packaged and aged entirely on-site.

Then transition to an intimate technical tasting of farmstead cheese, to experience for yourself the impact of different cultures on the cheesemaking process. Afterwards, enjoy a robust discussion on artisan and farmstead cheese development. Finish with an optional light lunch on the farm (not included in ticket price).
