Calling Vermont retailers, chefs, grocers, mongers, distributors, food writers, and any other industry cheese buyers! We have spots available on two upcoming local buyers tours! These tours are free, with lunch and transportation to- and from- a central location provided. The cheesemakers themselves will be taking us through make rooms and aging spaces, guiding us through tastings, and introducing us about the land, animals, and humans that make these incredible cheeses possible.

Wed, Aug 26, 2026: Valley to Mountains featuring Woodlawn Creamery, Crowley Cheese, and von Trapp Farmstead
Departing from Rutland, VT at 8:45am – Returning to Rutland, VT at 6:30pm
Please note you must be a cheese buyer within the state of Vermont or serving Vermont communities along its borders to register. Concerned you won’t qualify? Email our Executive Director, Haley Elkins, at haley@vtcheese.com to chat.
- These are “Done in a Day” tours with no overnight component; they leave early in the morning and return in early evening from a central location.
- Please note that you may spend up to 3-4 hours in the car throughout the day.
- Each tour is free, with only one spot available per company/organization. (Each tour is only 6-7 people total, in part because of how small these creameries are, but also so that buyers can have more intimate, dedicated conversations with makers.)
- We respectfully request that each company or organization only sign up for one of these two tours at this time so that there is room each organization to send someone. (VCC Associate Member Organizations may send one staffer per tour, as long as those staffers are different people. Not sure if your organization is an Associate Member? Check here.)
- Vermont Cheese Council staff handle transportation to and from the central location. If you would like to participate but feel you must travel separately in your own car, please talk with us.
- Lunch will be provided on the tour free of charge, but there are no other meals that are part of the tour.
- Your spot can not be saved until you have registered:
