SUMMARY:All Week: Sun to Cheese Tours
DESCRIPTION:Tours run daily 2:00-4:00pm! \nWhere does the story of our delicious farmstead cheddar cheese begin? Join us on a behind-the-scenes tour to uncover the sun to cheese story at Shelburne Farms! \nWatch the cheesemakers in our Farm Barn cheesemaking facility craft our milk into cheddar. Enjoy a guided tasting of our cheddars\, then head to the dairy to meet our Brown Swiss cows and discover how we care for our landscape\, pastures\, and herd. \nAccessibility & Details: This tour will meet at the Farm Store & Welcome Center. You’ll be transported around our campus in an open-air wagon with steps to board. Given that this tour includes a cheese tasting and travel around the farm\, we highly encourage you to bring a water bottle along with you during your visit. \nIf you need accommodations to participate as fully as possible\, please contact us to discuss the possibilities two weeks in advance of the program. \nPurchase Tickets

SUMMARY:Cheese Sampling\, Daily Milking Demos\, and More!
DESCRIPTION:Billings Farm is more than a farm — it’s a living\, breathing piece of Vermont history. Led by a 7th-generation dairy farmer\, our team tends this land with regenerative practices\, rotational grazing\, and genuine devotion to animal well-being. Our Jersey herd has been producing award-winning milk on these same hills for over 150 years. \nThat milk becomes our cheese. \nCrafted in partnership with Vermont Farmstead and Grafton Village Cheese Company\, our small-batch cheddars are something special: \nButter Cheddar — Made in the butterkäse tradition\, this mild\, creamy\, slightly tangy crowd-pleaser is the only butter cheddar produced in Vermont. \nReserve Cheddar — All the complexity of a sharp cheddar\, with a little less sharpness. Rich\, satisfying\, and right at home on any cheeseboard. \nSmoked Cheddar (award-winning) — Cold smoked over hickory and maple\, this is the smoked cheese for people who think they don’t like smoked cheese. \nTaste all three during Cheese Week! We will have cheese samplings daily (Monday – Friday) in the lobby of our Visitor’s Center. \nOn Friday\, September 18th\, join us for our second annual Cores & Pours cider event! We’ll have cider makers from all over the state and\, yes\, there will be cheese! Looking for some pre-Cheese Week fun? Sign up for our After Hours Cheese & Charcuterie Workshop on September 10th. All the details at billingsfarm.org \nOpen daily 10AM – 5PM. Admission $14 – $23. Lobby Cheese Week cheese tastings are free!
